Ed is a 1999 graduate of Cathedral High School.  While at Cathedral, Ed received 8 varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball.  He was fortunate to win two state championships.  One in football as a member of the undefeated 1996 team and one as a member of the 1997-1998 basketball team.   In 1996-1997, the final year of single class basketball, he was a member of the Hinkle Regional Championship team.   As a player in the baseball program, he was a member of the 1998 and 1999 Regional Championship teams.  After high school, Ed went on to continue his education at the University of Dayton where he was a member of their baseball program.

After graduation, from the University of Dayton in 2003, Ed came back to Cathedral to teach in the theology department and be an assistant coach in baseball and girls’ basketball.  He has coached at all levels of the girls' basketball program, but spent the majority of his time as a JV head coach and varsity assistant.  In 2012, Ed took the opportunity to become the head coach of the Lady Irish Basketball program and in his four years coaching the ladies, his teams have gone 9-13, 11-10, 17-9, and 16-9.

Ed and his wife, Jody ’98, live on the Northeast side of Indianapolis and have three children, Morgan, Ryan, and Taylor Grace, that attend St. Pius X School.
