Cross Country Semi-State Saturday

The Fighting Irish boys team, and three members of the girls team have advanced to the IHSAA Cross Country Semi-State at the Blue River Cross Country Venue, 725 Lee Blvd, Shelbyville IN. The girls race starts at 3:00.  The boys race begins at 3:45.  There is an admission charge of $5.00.   GO IRISH!

The Fighting Irish girls cross country team narrowly missed advanciong to the team semi-state, finishing 6th at the Noblesviolle Regional at White River Elementary School.  The toip 5 finishers advanced. The Lady Irish Cross-Country team won their third straight Sectional title at Brebeuf on Saturday. Cathedral defeated runner-up Lawrence North 38-52, and advances to next week’s Regional Championship at Noblesville. Boys and Girls Win City Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to the Cathedral Fighting Irish Girls and Boys Cross Country teams on winning the Indianapolis City Championships. The Girls finished with 34 points, besting Chatard with 51.  Gracie Carr finished 2nd overall.  Sofia Alatorre and Gillian Cridge finshed 5th and 6th.  Annie Gallagher was 9th and Olivia Benz was 12th. The Lady Irish Cross-Country team posted their best performance of the season at the Indianapolis City Championships, winning the team title for the sixth consecutive year.
