Lady Irish Lacrosse JV Blue team stays undefeated

The Cathedral Girls lacrosse JV Blue team had three games this week and won them all in convincing fashion. The JV Blue Lady Irish beat Fishers, Munster and Crown Point.  Over the three games the Lady Irish were led by Fran Cardenas with 7 goals, Meg Walker with 5 goals and 3 assists and Elle Musto with 5 goals. Bridget Noble was outstanding in the nets as she had 19 saves on 23 shots on goal for an 83% Save Ratio.

Fishers Game – Highlights

The JV Blue Lady Irish were led by Meg Walker with 3 goals and Fran Cardenas, Ellie Walker, Laine Webster, Kayla Kendall and Colene Speckman with 2 goals each.  The goalie, Bridget Noble, had 7 saves on 8 shots on goal for an 88% Save Ratio. That is a very high ratio and great job by Bridget.

Munster Game – Highlights

In the Munster game, the Lady Irish were led by Meg Walker with 2 goals and 1 assist, Fran Cardenas and Elle Musto with 2 goals each. Bridget Noble, our goalie, had 5 saves on 7 shots on goal for another very high Save Ratio of 71%.

Crown Point Game – Highlights

Leading the Lady Irish in the Crown Point game were Fran Cardenas and Elle Musto with 3 goals each, and Meg Walker with 2 assists. Bridget Noble, our goalie, had 7 save on 8 shots on goal for another 88% Save Ratio.

The JV Blue Girls Lacrosse team’s next game is Tuesday, March 28 at Bloomington North HS.

Lady Irish Lacrosse JV Gold team comes up short in exciting game with Fishers

The Cathedral Girls lacrosse JV Gold team started off its season with an exciting home game on Thursday, March 16 with Fishers JV, but lost 8-6.

The Lady Irish were led by Jensen Weaver with 3 goals, Emma Whitlock with 2 goals, Cami Cerefin with 1 goal and Alexa Gaines with 4 draw control wins.  Maya King, the goalie, had 5 saves on 13 shots on goal for a 38% Save Ratio.

Lady Irish Lacrosse JV Gold team had two tough games vs. Crown Point and Munster

On Saturday, March 18, the Cathedral Girls JV Gold team had two games at Franklin College vs. JV teams from Crown Point and Munster.  These were two tough games as the Lady Irish lost both games: 8-0 to Crown Point and 7-2 to Munster.

Crown Point Game – Highlights

Playing well for the Lady Irish in the Crown Point game were Emma Whitlock with 3 shots and 3 ground balls, Myhea Hollingsworth with 3 ground balls, Meredith Duffy with 3 ground balls and Emerson Lee with 3 Defensive Caused Turnovers.   Maya King, the goalie, had 17 SAVES on 25 shots on goal for a 68% Save Ration!  That’s a lot of saves and a very high Save Ratio.

Munster Game – Highlights

In the Munster game, the Lady Irish were led by Emma Whitlock with 1 goal, Myhea Hollingsworth with 1 goal and 4 ground balls, Addy Reeves with 4 ground balls and Emerson Lee with 5 Defensive Caused Turnovers. Maya King, the goalie, had 6 saves on 13 shots on goal for a 46% Save Ratio.

The JV Gold Girls Lacrosse team’s next game is Tuesday, March 28 at Bloomington North HS.
