The Fighting Irish won a hard fought game over Cincinnati St. Xavier. After dropping to a 0-4 deficit at half, the defense, lead by goalie Brock Snyder’s 14 saves, held St. X scoreless in the second half. The offense, lead by Kavan Braun’s 9 shots, 2 goals and 1 assist, brought the Irish back to tie the game with 3 minutes left in the game. Kavan’s final goal came at 11 seconds remaining with an assist from team captain Jack Mattei. The Fighting Irish are back on the field Friday playing Brother Rice and Saturday against Detroit County Day.
