MIKE MILLER RETIRES FROM COACHING GIRLS’ GOLF
Mike Miller has announced his retirement as the Irish girls’ golf head coach. Miller has been with the girls’ program for five years, the last two years as head coach. His teams won several tournaments during his tenure. The Irish were All-Catholic Tournament Champions, Indianapolis City Champions, and IHSAA Sectional Champions the last two years. In addition, he was part of the staff in 2015 when the girls placed fifth at the IHSAA State Championship.

Miller noted the special nature of this year’s seniors in his retirement.  During their four years, they won three All-Catholic Championships, four Indianapolis City Championships, four IHSAA Sectional Championships, and one IHSAA Regional Championship.  The 2017 team went 10-0 in dual matches.  Most importantly, they are great kids.

Miller will continue at Cathedral as a math teacher and assistant boys’ golf coach.  We very much appreciate his time, effort and positive influence on our student-athletes.

The Athletic Department will be accepting internal applications only for this position.  Please contact Athletic Director Doug Seagrave at dseagrave@gocathedral.com if you’re interested.
