Fighting Irish Are Wrestling State Champions

Congratulations to the Cathedral Fighting Irish Wrestling Team for winning the 2018 IHSAA State Championship!  Veteran Coach Sean McGinley took home his second crown. Irish Wrestlers Dominate Semi-State

Congratulations to Coach Sean McGinley and the Cathedral Fighting Irish wrestlers for winning the New Castle Semi-State on Saturday in dominating fashion.  The Irish scored 192.5 points to easily finish ahead of 2nd place Perry Meridian’s 113. The Irish Boys Basketball team play at South Bend Riley on Saturday.  The JV starts at 5:00 with the Varsity following. Wrestlers at New Castle Semi-State

The Fighting Irish wrestlers will compete in the IHSAA Semi-State on Saturday at New Castle High School on Saturday.  1st round matches will begin at 9:00 a.m. A Season Ticket for all sessions will be available for $10.  A single session ticket to only the finals is $8. All matches will be live on www.trackwrestling.com.

Irish Divers at Regional Tonight

Cathedral divers Sophie Mernitz and Myra Miller have advanced to the IHSAA Diving Regional.  They will compete at Plainfield High School tonight with competition beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $5. GO IRISH!

Irish Swimmers and Divers Show Well at Sectional

The Lady Irish Swimming and Diving team had a great performance at the IHSAA Sectional at Lawrence North on Saturday.  The Irish finished in 3rd place behind North Central and Franklin Central by scoring 324 points.
